  Hong Kong Section  

Textile Institute (Hong Kong Section) was incorporated in March 1998 and adopted the current name, the Textile Institute Association (Hong Kong) Ltd. (hereafter called “TIHK”). TIHK's members comprise the members of Textile Institute residing in Hong Kong and TIHK is managed by an executive committee elected by its members in annual general meeting.

The value of TIHK is based on the tradition of the Textile Institute which carries the mission of promoting professionalism in all areas associated with the Textile Industries Worldwide, embracing the sectors of all fronts, including research and development, education, design, engineering, manufacturing, wholesaling, retailing, merchandising, footwear manufacturing, marketing and financing.

TIHK has been trying hard in providing value added services to members in Hong Kong for boosting the professionalism in various sectors of the textile industries. In order to maximize the effectiveness of its endeavor, the executive committee has been sparing no effort in collaborating with various institutions and societies. People can see the name of the Textile Institute Association Hong Kong Ltd appearing as organizers or sponsors in numerous prestigious seminars, symposia, conferences, fashion shows and designers' contests. Participation of these events have effectively increased the exposure of TIHK among trade practitioners who are also potential members of Textile Institute, and facilitated the access of existing members in acquiring updated knowledge and industrial development.
