| Position Opening in Textile Engineering: Tenure-truck Assistant Professor
The Faculty of Textile Science and Technology (FTST), Shinshu University, Japan, seeks a young researcher in Textile Engineering and related areas. FTST is the top academic institution in Textile/Fiber Engineering in Japan (http://www.tex.shinshu-u.ac.jp/en/).
The position is tenure-track Assistant Professor with initial appointment from April 1, 2009 through March 31, 2014. The annual salary is 6.2 million yen (approximately $59,000) fixed during the appointment.
The researcher will mainly engage in research with 6.0 million yen (approximately $57,000) research fund in the first year and 3.0 million yen (approximately $28,500) in subsequent years through academic year 2011. (The amount of research fund may vary depending on the field of research and on fiscal budgets approved.) Independent research space is provided. Some travel fund will be provided to assist international academic activities. The support is funded by the Young Researchers Empowerment Program of the Ministry of Science and Education. Teaching load is two courses a year. Some research supervision of graduate and senior undergraduate students is expected.

- Electric-Electronics Engineering(Electronic device / apparatus,Instrumental engineering ,Control engineering)
- Mechanical engineering (Mechanics / Control, Intelligent machine / Mechanical system, Production engineering / Manufacturing)
